Industrial Visits

For Multi – dimensional academic development of the students DBFGI regularly arranges industrial visits. The Institute has constituted a dedicated cell to arrange industrial visits for the students. Last year students visited Power Grid Corporation, various Export houses viz. Vardhman, Bhandari, Kudu, Sportking,Intellisense Technologies & Nestle India Limited etc. 

Guest Lectures

Eminent academicians and resource persons from industry are invited regularly to deliver guest lectures to abrush the students about the latest developments in various fields.


Various seminars like Value Based Education, Corporate Governance, Human ethics were organized in 2009 – 10 & 11, with an aim that education must not end with mastery over a few subjects. Opening wide the doors of the mind, cleaning of the soul and ultimately the realization of the self are the ultimate aims of the organizing such seminars.

Placement and Counselling Cell

DBFGI has maintained a network with leading recruiters. A team of experienced faculty members is entrusted with the task of guiding the students about their future plans for employment. We are already in the process of regularly inviting major players in the employment market for campus placement of students. The training and placement department has been a proud host for the conducting Job Fair ‘Missionz-1-2011’. The various companies which participated are HT Media Ltd, Ralson India Ltd, Metro India Ltd, Eureka Forbes, Intellisense Technologies, You2 move Real estates, Datum Technologies, Hindustan Tyres, Red Alkemi, HDFC Bank, HDFC Life Insurance, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, Jindal Info Media Pvt Ltd etc.

Fashion Technology Development of the DBFGI organized Fashion Exhibition. Apart from rural folk craft, a large number of dresses including items of western fashion traditional Phulkari etc., created by the students of the department were displayed in this exhibition. All the visitors showed keen interest int he exhibits displayed. This grand exhibition provided an opportunity to the students to show their talents as budding fashion designers.
